A "FALL" LIKE FORECAST AHEAD THIS WEEK?

WEATHER WATCH: Monday morning will continue to feature some isolated to scattered rain showers primarily for the southern third of the state of Alabama. However, by the afternoon clouds will start to break in coverage, leaving for a mostly clear evening area-wide.
TUESDAY-THURSDAY: Partly cloudy skies will be in the forecast with temperatures on par with what is considered average, with highs in the lower 80s and even cooler overnight temps in the upper 50s and lower 60s, as northeasterly winds dominate.
FRIDAY-SUNDAY: A blob of tropical moisture is expected to surge northward by this weekend, impacting the weekend ahead. The NHC (National Hurricane Center) is currently monitoring this area in the southwestern Gulf and has an increased 40% chance that it could be an official tropical system or a low-pressured system over the next 7 days. Regardless, current spaghetti plots have the area low creeping toward the northern Gulf Coast, which will help elevate rain chances this weekend.
